How we calculate your estimate

We use simple multiplication and division. Here is the full process using an example with 1 × RTX 4090, 90 seconds per frame, and 250 frames.

    Estimate the full render on your computer

    We multiply the average time for one frame by the total number of frames. This assumes the frame you measured is a reasonable average for the project.

    Estimate how many credits it may use

    Different GPUs render at different speeds. We compare your GPU's Blender benchmark score with an RTX 3090, then include the number of GPUs you used. This converts the project into RTX 3090-equivalent GPU minutes—the unit used for credits.

    Credits are rounded up to the next whole GPU minute.

    Estimate the Renderjuice time for each plan

    We divide the same total GPU work by each plan's published average speed for one render. Parallel rendering capacity is not used for this estimate, and the estimated credits stay the same.

Blender render estimates, explained

How does the Blender render time calculator work?

The calculator converts your measured frame time and local GPU setup into RTX 3090-equivalent render work using Blender benchmark scores. It then divides that work by each Renderjuice plan’s published average speed for one render to estimate cloud render time.

What is a Renderjuice GPU minute?

A GPU minute is one minute of RTX 3090-equivalent rendering. Faster cloud GPUs are normalized to that baseline, so credit usage reflects completed render work instead of the exact GPU model assigned to a worker.

Why are the estimated credits the same for every plan?

The scene requires the same amount of normalized GPU work on every plan. A plan with a higher average speed per render can finish sooner, while the total RTX 3090-equivalent GPU minutes remain approximately the same.

What does plan credit value mean?

Plan credit value is the estimated render credits multiplied by the effective value of one included credit, calculated from the monthly plan price and its included GPU minutes. It represents a prorated share of the subscription, not an additional charge. Top-up credit value uses the plan’s additional GPU-hour rate instead.

How accurate is the cloud render estimate?

It is a planning estimate based on Blender benchmark ratios and each plan’s published average speed per render. GPU availability and render errors can affect the result. File upload and download times are not included in the displayed render time.
