Describe your local Blender render

Use an average from representative frames rendered with your final settings. We will use this local baseline to estimate the full render and compare Renderjuice plans below.

Search any substring, such as “4070” or “Ada”.

Usually 1. Increase this only if multiple GPUs rendered the frame.

Frequently asked questions

How does the calculator estimate render time and credits?

Worked example: 1 × RTX 4090, 90 seconds per frame, and 250 frames.

  1. 1

    Calculate the local render time

We multiply your average frame time by the number of frames. Use timings from several representative frames, including more demanding parts of the animation.

    90 seconds × 250 frames = 6 hours 15 minutes locally

  2. 2

Convert the render to GPU minutes

We use Blender benchmark scores to express your local render as RTX 3090-equivalent GPU minutes. One Renderjuice credit covers one minute of that normalized work.

Learn how GPU-minute credits work →

    375 local minutes × 1 GPU × 2.02 benchmark ratio = 756.5 GPU minutes → 757 credits

Estimated credits are rounded up to the next whole GPU minute.

  3. 3

    Estimate the Renderjuice time

We divide the normalized workload by each plan's average rendering power. Plans with more power produce a shorter time estimate, while the credit estimate stays the same.

    Hobbyist
    756.5 ÷ 22 ≈ 34 minutes 23 seconds
    Pro
    756.5 ÷ 22 ≈ 34 minutes 23 seconds
    Studio
    756.5 ÷ 30 ≈ 25 minutes 13 seconds
What is a Renderjuice GPU minute?

A GPU minute is one minute of RTX 3090-equivalent rendering. Usage is adjusted for the assigned GPU model and expressed in RTX 3090-equivalent minutes. One Renderjuice credit covers one GPU minute.

Why is the credit estimate the same for every plan?

The calculator assumes the same normalized workload for each plan and uses each plan’s average rendering power to estimate time. This gives the same estimated credits across plans; actual usage can vary.

What does plan credit value mean?

Plan credit value is the estimated render credits multiplied by the effective value of one included credit, calculated from the monthly plan price and its included GPU minutes. It represents a prorated share of the subscription, not an additional charge. Top-up credit value uses the plan’s additional GPU-hour rate instead.

How accurate are the time and credit estimates?

This is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed completion time or credit cost. GPU benchmarks measure test scenes and may not predict your scene’s speedup. Geometry and object scale, materials, lighting, volumes, resolution, samples, Blender version, GPU rendering mode, CPU performance and available system and GPU memory can all affect results. Frame complexity can vary throughout an animation. Scene preparation, output saving and retries add overhead; GPU availability can affect turnaround time. Project upload and result download time are not included.

How can I get a more reliable estimate?

Measure several representative local frames at the resolution and render settings you plan to use, including heavier sections of the animation. Then run a small sample on Renderjuice and review the actual output, render time and credit usage before submitting the full animation.
