How does the calculator estimate render time and credits?

Worked example: 1 × RTX 4090, 90 seconds per frame, and 250 frames.

    Calculate the local render time

    We multiply your average frame time by the number of frames. Choose a frame that represents the rest of the animation.

    90 seconds × 250 frames = 6 hours 15 minutes locally

    Convert the render to GPU minutes

    We use Blender benchmark scores to express your local render as RTX 3090-equivalent GPU minutes. One Renderjuice credit covers one minute of that normalized work.

What is a Renderjuice GPU minute?

A GPU minute is one minute of RTX 3090-equivalent rendering. Faster cloud GPUs are normalized to that baseline, so credit usage reflects completed render work instead of the exact GPU model assigned to a worker.

Why is the credit estimate the same for every plan?

The scene requires the same amount of normalized GPU work on every plan. A plan with a higher average speed per render can finish sooner, while the total RTX 3090-equivalent GPU minutes remain approximately the same.

What does plan credit value mean?

Plan credit value is the estimated render credits multiplied by the effective value of one included credit, calculated from the monthly plan price and its included GPU minutes. It represents a prorated share of the subscription, not an additional charge. Top-up credit value uses the plan’s additional GPU-hour rate instead.

How accurate is the Renderjuice time estimate?

We base the estimate on Blender benchmark ratios and each plan’s published average speed per render. GPU availability and render errors can change the actual duration. The estimate does not include file upload or download time.
