Update from Blender Extensions
Use this method when Blender shows an update for the extension.1
Open Blender Extensions
Open Blender, go to Preferences, and open Get Extensions.
2
Find Blend Project Packer
Search for Blend Project Packer and open its extension entry.
3
Install the update
Click Update. When it finishes, restart Blender before creating your next
portable package.
If Blender does not show Update
You may have installed the extension from a ZIP file. Blender places that kind of installation in a local user repository, so it may not receive updates from the Blender Extensions repository.1
Uninstall the local copy
Find Blend Project Packer in Blender’s installed extensions or add-ons and
uninstall it.
2
Install from Blender Extensions
Open Get Extensions, search for Blend Project Packer, and click
Install.
3
Restart Blender
Restart Blender, then open Blend Project Packer from the Project Pack tab
in the 3D Viewport sidebar.
Last resort: reinstall from a ZIP
Use a ZIP installation only when Blender cannot install the extension from its Extensions repository.- Uninstall or delete the current Blend Project Packer extension.
- Download the latest ZIP from the Blend Project Packer page.
- Drag the ZIP file into Blender and confirm the installation.
- Restart Blender before packaging another project.
